THE DAVIS BACON ACT

 

The Davis Bacon Act requires the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers and mechanics on Federal government construction projects in excess of $2,000.00.

As the GC or Sub, you will be required to submit weekly certified payrolls to the Grantee (government entity providing the funding) or to HUD to ensure compliance with the Davis Bacon Act.
